·       On or After Nov 1, 2022    50% of total yearly fee stated in player contract.

·       On or After Nov 15, 2022    75% of total yearly fee stated in player contract.

·       On or After Dec. 1, 2022    100% of total yearly fee stated in player contract.

Move Up Request

Move-Up Requests for Players
It is the default policy of AAAHA/MAHA to place individual registrants on teams in the appropriate age division dictated by player birth year.

Requests to move players up to an older  division level are exceptions to this policy. Requests should be submitted, in writing to the Executive Director and ACE Director to be considered.

It is the policy of AAAHA to have all players first participate in evaluations within their natural age group. The evaluation panel will be instructed to identify any players whose skill level is such that a play-up request, if previously tendered, would qualify for further evaluation. Such candidates will then be evaluated along with players in the older age division. If the player in question clearly evaluates in the upper 50% of the older age division and does not displace an otherwise age qualified player, move up requests may be approved after review by the Executive Director and ACE Director on a case by case basis. Decisions of the Executive Director, ACE Director are final and may not be appealed.

For the 2022-2023season, move-up requests must be submitted no later than August 1,2022.

Waitlist

We do our best to predict the number of house teams each season by the number of registrations received.

There are circumstances where we receive an unexpected influx of house registrations at a certain birth year. In this case, we close registration when our predicted team is full, and we open a "Waitlist" for that age group.

Once a spot opens on a team, the first person on the waitlist in contacted and needs to accept the spot within 24 hours. If the spot can not be accepted within 24 hours, the open spot is offered to the next family on the waitlist, and the first family is returned to the waitlist.

If enough players are listed on a waitlist, an additional team may be opened at that specific age group.

AAAHA House Hockey League

Ann Arbor House Teams are all a part of the Little Caesars Amateur Hockey League for the Fall/Winter season. Our Fall/Winter season runs from September through March.

Age appropriate off ice work outs may be available to those interested, (contact your head coach).

In Ann Arbor, our house teams offer a competitive environment in which teams are able to play 18-22 games per fall season, along with scrimmages and tournaments. Parents are asked to make a commitment to the team practices and game schedules to the best of their ability.

AAAHA recommends new skaters try our Fall Learn To Play programs before jumping on to a house team, especially at the Bantam level where checking is introduced and could be a safety issue.

Most house teams will choose to participate in at least one tournament per fall season.

Spring season is a shortened, 6 week season, with a more relaxed schedule and game play. There is no Little Caesars League offered for Spring. Spring is less of a commitment and dual rostering is permitted during Spring.

House hockey in Ann Arbor is a commitment! We want to thank the parents for making the commitment to get your children to practices and games, the coaches, and team managers for volunteering their time to teach the kids the great game of ice hockey!

Coaching Applications

We want to thank all of our coaches! All of AAAHA's coaches are volunteers and volunteer every minute they spend with our kids! Coaches also volunteer their time off ice as well, planning practices, strategies for games, off ice training, etc.

If you have interest in coaching any of the house teams, please contact Peggy Costello,  peggy.costello@aaaha.org

AAAHA Goalie Clinics with Future Pro!

Check the AAAHA Calendar for our monthly goalie clinics during the fall season. All members of AAAHA are welcome to come out for goalie instruction from Jeff Lerg and his staff at Future Pro!

Let your head coach know that you would like to attend.

Volunteer!!
